Veterans Day

A national holiday held for the anniversary of the end of World War 1 (November 11) to honor US veterans and victims of all the wars. It replaced Armistice Day in 1954. The purpose of Veterans Day is to honor our former service members. Americans honor those who have served in the US military; it’s a time to express gratitude to those who have made great sacrifices to preserve our freedom. Veterans Day is taking place on November 11. To show honor to veterans you can place flowers/flags on veteran’s graves, as a sign of respect. You can display your American flag outside your home. And you can send a care package to the soldiers.  Something that I found interesting is that Veterans Day wasn’t its actually name, it was Armistice Day.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  My feelings towards Veterans Day are that we should honor the fallen tributes. They fought for are freedom. And we are very thankful for that.
