Duties and Responsibilities:
Cardiologists
are physicians who have received additional training to prevent, diagnose and
treat conditions of the cardiovascular system, which includes the heart and the
body's blood vessels. Before practicing as a cardiologist, physicians must
graduate from medical school, complete a residency and become board-certified
in internal medicine, and then complete a fellowship in cardiology.
Salary: $375,500 - $532,000
Education:
Cardiologists
need to obtain their bachelor's degree and then enroll in a medical school
program. After graduating from medical school, they complete several years of
internal medicine and cardiology training in a residency program. They must
also become licensed as physicians by their state and pass a certification exam
in their specialty.
Reflection:
I would
like to be a cardiologist because it seem fun. You get to operate on hearts,
you see the heart. An you know how it functions.
